INFORMATION ABOUT THIS DOLL:

This information was given to me by the Salesman in the shop, from where I purchased the doll in Bulgaria in 2003.

The men dress in these outfits on January 1st. to scare away the "dark forces". The bells these dancers wear, are sheep bells and a real male dancer wears a total of 35 kilos of bells to dance with! Everything about the dance is based on the bells. The costume is made of sheepskin.

        For the last 24 hours I have had a "TECHNICAL ERROR" on my computer, so I have lost the doll photos off my New Post (listed on the 9th. December, 2021), so I will have to put them on again.  Hopefully I will be able to do that tomorrow (Tuesday 14th. December, 2021).  Fortunately my very kind and clever son-in- law dealt with the technicalities with my website " host?" or "server?" for me, (if that is the correct expression!  As you can now tell, Technicalities is NOT my strong point!)  Haha!
