Welcome to my first blog.
I hope you will enjoy browsing through my website. Here I will be drawing your attention to any new additions to my doll collection, so please keep checking for any updates.
The brown and white photo on my website and in my Blog shows me with my first doll (and my Mum!) when I was approximately two years old.
Any comments on my collection or dolls in general, would be welcome.
Best wishes. Carole.

I'm Carole's youngest daughter, Louise. Me & Mum are both new to the world of blogs, so I'm posting this comment to test how responses work.
Please feel free to add your comments about my Mum's collection, her website and dolls in general. Any tips on blogging will also be welcome!!!
I have a collection of nearly 300 dolls, since I was 4. I have a few of the Russian "fiber" dolls; I was told they are flax.
Congratulations Carole, you have a fantastic doll´s collection and your web site is very professional.
Nowadays I have 222 dolls; last acquisition is an Armenia representative that I bought by internet.
I will post my favorite doll to you.
Best wishes from your Brazilian friend Désirée
Hi Carole,
Let me introduce My Favorite Doll. She is Moroccan; she represents the Brides of Marrakesh.
The doll was bought in 1996 during my trip to Morocco, inside the Bazaar.
The fabric is brocaded Arab. The adornment of the head is well decorated as the brides like to use.
Marrakech, is situated in southwestern of Morocco, next to the mountain range of Atlas. It is known as the “red city”, the “pearl of the south” or the “door of the south”. The probable origin of its name is from the Berber words mur (n) akush , which means "Land of God".
The city has the largest “suq” (traditional market) of the country and one of the most busy squares in Africa, the “ Djemaa el Fna” , with its tumblers, water sellers, dancers, musicians and tents of food.
Whenever you need to buy something, never forget to bargain the price, as the negotiation is very important to the Muslims.
Greetings from Desiree
Thank you Desiree for showing us your favourite doll, and the very informative and interesting text. I love the detail on the doll! Carole.
