THE LILLIPUT MUSEUM of ANTIQUE DOLLS & TOYS

The LILLIPUT Doll & Toy MUSEUM

I have recently returned from a visit to the Isle of Wight, where we came across the wonderful "Lilliput Museum of Antique Dolls and Toys", in Brading, near Sandown.  There were also a few Dolls Houses there too, so you are in for a treat!
There are over 2,000 items in the Museum, so obviously, here are just a few of them for you to see!

There is also a little shop on the premises where you can buy dolls house furniture and dolls.  The Museum, which was created in 1974, has been featured on the BBC ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, and is a private collection belonging to the Munday family.

POSTCARD PHOTOS OF LATVIA COSTUME

LATVIAN COSTUME
NOTE:  Since putting this Post on here, please see the interesting comment which I have recently received.  Thank you.

NOTE:   Hi! I'm Latvian. These postcards are beautiful, but they don't really show our national costumes, except for the first one. Others are based on our national costumes but are in fact made for stage in Soviet occupation times. :)

Here are some of my postcards from Latvia, of people dressed in Latvian costume, including some dancing the "Lettish Dance."

PLEASE NOTE:  These postcards are NOT FOR SALE, as they are part of my private collection only.

Postcards showing people dressed in the costumes of various countries are an excellent source of information!
For more information about these postcards and costumes, please see the website.  Just go to the HOME PAGE and click on the tab for "POSTCARDS",  and they will come up.  Thank you.
