The dolls shown here are twelve of my dolls who have been on holiday at the Bush Theatre. They have just arrived home after a very memorable visit. They enjoyed their six weeks there and no doubt enjoyed the attention they received, (especially the French lady who has quite a high opinion of herself!) They were used as props in the play - "JOSEPHINE & I".
The Jazz singer, Josephine Baker was married several times and her twelve adopted children were of several different nationalities. My twelve dolls represented her children in the play. The play was written and performed by CUSH JUMBO and directed by Phyllida Lloyd. Cush Jumbo has been on radio, on television and in films.
(There are THREE pairs of dolls shown here, but only the male doll of each pair was at the theatre).

Lovely dolls, I'm sure they had a wonderful time in London.
Yes, they did. Thank you Ann.
