I have also added some photos of Bali, including the Barong and Kekac dancing.
BALI is such a beautiful and colourful island and is famous for it's dancing. I was fortunate to see a performance of the famous Barong dancing, a very colourful dance which was performed outdoors, and also a performance of the Kecak and Fire dance which was performed outdoors at the Temple of Uluwatu, at the same time, being able to see a fantastic sunset.

BARONG DANCE: The Barong is a large mythological creature like a lion, and the Barong dance is a story-telling dance about the fight between good and evil.KECAK DANCE: The Kecak dance is a unique dance which is not accompanied by an orchestra, but by a choir of seventy men. It has it's origin in an old ritual dance, "Sanghyang" or "Trance" dance. In the Sanghyang dance a person in a state of trance communicates with the deities or ancestors. Using the dancers as a medium, the deities or ancestors convey their wishes. In the 1930's the old Indian epic Ramayana was included into the dance.
