MY VISIT TO HOLLAND AND DOLLS FROM SINGAPORE, GERMANY, PORTUGAL and JAPAN

Today I am adding a lovely Samsui doll from SINGAPORE, and dolls from GERMANY, PORTUGAL and JAPAN to my website.
As always, you can see more pictures and information about the dolls on the website.  (I find the Samsui doll particularly interesting.  She is oozing with character!  There is more information about it on the website).
I have also added a few photos from my recent visit to HOLLAND

I have just returned from a visit to HOLLAND.  As it was not a long trip I was restricted to the area of Amsterdam and some of the neighbouring places and sites.  I was particularly impressed with how lovely and clean the country is, and also how friendly the people are.
Due to the time, I was unable to go into some of the places which I would have loved to have seen, but hopefully I will do it sometime in the future!
Although I went inside HET LOO PALACE and also the VAN GOCH MUSEUM, it was not permitted to use a flash on your camera.  I did not want to risk it as I am sure that by now, you are all aware that I am not in the least bit technically minded and I was afraid of the flash "coming on!"  Needless to say, I didn't use my camera at those places!

OOSTERBEEK is a complete contrast to Amsterdam.  It is home to the Oosterbeek War Cemetery.  The Cemetery is beautifully kept.  There are many graves of young soldiers (and also a lot of "unknown" ones).

Hi Margaret. Glad you like the dolls. Yes, I enjoyed Holland very much. There is so much to see and do, there, but I ran out of time before I could do all I intended!
