Today I am listing dolls from PERU, GREECE (Macedonia), and BALI (Indonesia), onto my website..
For more information about the dolls and more photos, please see the website.
Just put the Code No. into the search box on the Itinerary page, and it will bring up the dolls.
Thank you.
I would also like to tell you about my little doll from Egypt (below).
A NOTE ABOUT "simply made" dolls:
To me, a doll doesn't necessarily have to be professionally made to be of value to a doll collector.
I have a little doll from Egypt (photo above) which I wouldn't part with for the world, as it means so much to me sentimentally.
These little dolls are hand made by young girls living on the West Bank in Egypt. They make them and sell them to the tourists near the Pyramids to obtain some extra money. I will never forget the look on the little girl's face, or her shy beaming smile, when I purchased this doll from her over twenty years ago. That little girl will be a young lady now. I wonder if she still makes dolls? Perhaps she will see this post on my blog. I hope she does, so that she will know how much I love the doll, and for a very special reason.
