MINIATURE KNITTING:
I have recently started knitted some "combinations" for a 1/12th." scale male doll.  I am knitting it with sewing thread.  At the moment I am nearly at the top of one leg, and it has taken a total of ten and a half hours to knit, so far.  I will finish it eventually, although I really enjoy doing miniature knitting, so I don't mind how long it takes to knit it!

GREENHOUSE:
This little greenhouse was made for me by my late husband, in approximately 2000.  It was made to go with my dolls house - (No. 2 - page title at the top of the HOME page on the Blog).
It was made with 1/12th." scale real bricks, with a wooden frame and perspex windows.

I made all the plants, hanging basket and slatted top etc. inside.  I used a dolls house chimney pot for the plant by the door.

The tiles on the ground have been cut out of wood and papered with flecked paper.  I made the seed boxes with wood.

ITALIAN CLOWN (and my walk around the lake!)

ITALIAN CLOWN AND BOY
This clown is not on the website, but I thought I would show him to you.
Although he isn't exactly my type of doll, there is something about him which makes me want to keep him!
He is approximately 23" tall with a cloth over wire armature body and felt covered face.  Painted features.  The little boy is made in the same way, and he is SO cute!  All their clothes are made of felt, as is the umbrella.
Makers marks:  "TRISTEZA" on a metal plate on the front of the base (Trieste?).  There is no marking on the clown.  C.1960 to 1970?

MY WALK AROUND THE LAKE
Today I have walked around our local lake with some of the staff, residents and relations of a Residential Home in my local town, to promote fitness and health!  I must add that it was with some trepidation as it is the scene of my fall when I cracked my pelvis, last May!
I did a detour on the way home, walking through the local park, an approximate walk of 4.5 miles.  Needless to say, it didn't rain for once!

MY DOLLS HOUSE (NO. 2) - "WYNFORD"

I have added another dolls house on a NEW PAGE.
(Just click on "DOLLS HOUSE (No. 2)" at the top, right hand side of this page, to see it).
I have NOT SHOWN the outside of the house, as I have designed it and made it myself from my own 1/12th." scale plans.  I also made all the furniture and dolls, etc.
I made the house in the 1930's style and the furniture in the 1940's style, based on the furniture which was in my parents home during the 1940's.
I named the house "WYNFORD", after the late Wynford Vaughan Thomas.
I made the house between 1990 and 1991.
There are lots of pictures for you to see.  ENJOY!
