ENGLAND. Meet Royston.
MEET ROYSTON
ENGLAND
Website Id: (Europe - England - 0092 and 0092A)
This delightful doll was possibly made in England, C. late 1940's. I have dressed him in a vintage cardigan, vintage shoes and vintage socks. I knitted his trousers, which looks like a complicated pattern to knit, but it was easy! That is because the same ball of wool follows on with all these colours, so it was not complicated at all. I was expecting the second leg to be awkward trying to get the pattern to line up with the first, but it wasn't! I just had to run through the wool until all the colours lined up with the first leg, and start from there!

"SEAGULLS NEST"
"SEAGULLS NEST"
(A seaside market stall)
Here is another little market stall which I have just finished working on. I purchased the stall in kit form, painted it, and filled it with the items you see here.
It is a seaside market stall. On it I have put lots of little items which I have collected over time. I just made the kites, sticks of rock in boxes, and a few other bits and pieces.
The lady was a ready-made dolls house doll, but I re-dressed her. The little boy was also a dolls house doll, and I left him clothed as he was.
KEEP SAFE AND WELL.

BERTIE's BARGAINS!
BERTIE's BARGAINS
This is one of the little market stalls which I have put together since we have all been in our present Covid situation.
This market stall was purchased in kit-form. All the items I have put on it are items which I had in my "store". I didn't make this doll. It is a little dolls house doll which I had in my store, so I just gave him a cap!
I seem to have become involved in market stalls lately, and I have been enjoying working on them.
All the bits and pieces on Bertie's stall, I already had in my store.
Keep safe and well.

RODDY DOLLS
RODDY DOLLS
Today I am listing two lovely Roddy Dolls. (These are part of my own private collection, so are NOT for sale).
"RODDY" is one of my favourite doll makers of the 1950's.
For more information about the dolls, and more photos, please see the website. Just click on the "Itinerary" Tab and put in the Code no. for the doll, as seen here. If you just put in the name of the country, all the dolls I have listed in that country, will come up. Thank you.

CATCHING UP WITH MINIATURES
MINIATURES LIFE DURING LOCKDOWN
(ONE OF MY NEW ROOM-BOXES)
MUSEUM OF CHILDHOOD
It is difficult to decide whether to work on miniatures, do more writing (which I also really enjoy doing!), catch up with miniature knitting, up-date my website or read more of my books which are shouting out to be read! Also, my walking group has just started up again with social distancing and no car sharing, so all in all, life is very hectic!
RIGHT HAND SIDE: I made the bookshelf a long time ago, and also the little books on the top shelf. I also made the little "dolls house for a dolls house",the thatched cottage complete with very tiny wooden furniture inside, a long time ago. I also knitted the little pram cover. The cottage measures 2.5" wide x 1.25" deep x 2" high. To give you an idea of the size of the "furniture", each chair is less than 0.5" high.
